For over a year, despite the amount of anticipation that grew for Firaxis Games’ Marvel’s Midnight Suns, there was uncertainty to when the game will arrive. Originally, it was promised for March 2022 to release. But it was told the original promise did not give enough time for development. Which then gave a later release window for that year instead.
By the fall, it was confirmed December will be the official release, but only for modern machines. The latter Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch will expect a release later on in 2023. Additionally, the developer did share its plans in terms of post-launch content focusing on Deadpool, Venom, Morbius, and Storm each.
Now this week, Firaxis Games & 2K revealed that the upcoming fourth DLC ‘Blood Storm’ will also welcome the Xbox One & PlayStation 4 versions. However, Nintendo Switch fans will miss out indefinitely as the port has been completely scrapped. You can watch the add-on trailer in the video below:
“We’re excited to announce that digital versions of Marvel’s Midnight Suns on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One are scheduled to launch on Thursday, May 11. This coincides with the release of the fourth post-launch DLC for Marvel’s Midnight Suns: Blood Storm, which introduces Storm as a playable hero and new missions in the DLC-spanning vampyre storyline,” the blog post reads.
“All four DLC installments (The Good, the Bad, and the Undead; Redemption; The Hunger; and Blood Storm) will be available on launch day to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One players who purchase the Legendary Edition of the game or the Marvel’s Midnight Season Pass. Note that a Nintendo Switch version of Marvel’s Midnight Suns is no longer planned.”
