For PlayStation Plus, the service over the past year has evolved beyond its conventional online subscription. It expanded to offering a library of games to combat Xbox’s Game Pass. This past month alone, free games include Grid Legends, Chivalry 2 and Descenders. As for the higher tiered options welcomed Dishonored, Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, Humanity plus others for Premium & Extra subscribers.
When reflecting on the service as a whole, Sony has illustrated that it is retaining more members than the previous PlayStation Now. As of its last financial report, more than 14 million are subscribed to PlayStation Plus Extra/Premium. Now prop this against the last recorded 25 million Xbox Game Pass, Sony now has a viable subscription to counter the Microsoft service.
This week, Sony Interactive Entertainment continues its effort for PlayStation Plus with its next wave of PlayStation Plus Essential free titles. This month features NBA 2K23, Jurassic World Evolution 2 and Trek to Yomi. Noted, the previous month’s are still available until June 2nd this month – so grab those before they are gone.
From our plethora of reviews, we did one for Jurassic World Evolution 2. “Jurassic World Evolution 2 is a marked improvement from the original. It’s not perfect, and some bugs did crop up although they never caused an real issues. If you enjoyed the original, despite it’s flaws, then this is a great entry for old fans and newcomers to the thriving park builder genre,” critic David Rodriguez penned.
Rectify Gaming also coined a review for Trek to Yomi. “Trek to Yomi is a fantastic idea with good execution. It’s great to see an indie take on Samurai legend that feels like a cut above the average take on the genre.” You can read the full piece in its entirety by heading here.
