The reveal for the Nintendo Switch 2 was earth shaking. And more can be said for the dedicated Nintendo Direct that came earlier in April 2025. The firm not only shared new exclusives like Mario Kart World, Donkey Kong Bananza, and The Duskbloods, but that the new hardware is aiming to release later this June as well.
However, amid the announcement, Nintendo did have to delay its initial pre-order date for the Nintendo Switch successor. Mainly, the reasoning is behind the new tariffs that were established by the United States. This did give more time to confirm new information on its new physical games including the Nintendo Switch 2 version of its classic titles and Game-Key Cards that will be for newer releases.
This week, Nintendo has revealed that pre-orders for the Nintendo Switch 2 are set to come next week, April 24th. Details from the announcement includes fixed pricing for hardware alongside games Mario Kart World & Donkey Kong Bananza. But, there has been a good number of new pricing for its accessories.
Nintendo Switch 2 Pro Controller – $84.99, Nintendo Switch 2 Camera – $54.99, Joy-Con 2 Pair – $94.99, Joy-Con 2 Charging Grip – $39.99, Joy-Con 2 Wheel Set – $24.99, Nintendo Switch 2 Dock Set – $119.99, Nintendo Switch 2 Carrying Case & Screen Protector – $39.99, Nintendo Switch 2 All-In-One Carrying Case – $84.99, and Nintendo Switch 2 AC Adapter – $34.99.
“Nintendo Switch 2 accessories will experience price adjustments from those announced on April 2 due to changes in market conditions. Other adjustments to the price of any Nintendo product are also possible in the future depending on market conditions. We apologize for the retail pre-order delay, and hope this reduces some of the uncertainty our customers may be experiencing,” Nintendo explains.
