Report: Assassin’s Creed Shadows Is Ubisoft’s 2nd Biggest Launch For The Series

Months before its release, Assassin’s Creed Shadows has been shaping up poorly for Ubisoft. With reports of the publisher pulling media coverage until 2025 practically did leave a very big question mark on the state of the game. However, demand has proven to say otherwise selling 1 million units in its first day. And, 2 million copies was reached in just a couple days, Ubisoft revealed.

In a new report from Video Game Chronicle, Assassin’s Creed Shadows is recorded to be Ubisoft’s second biggest release for the entire franchise, sources told the outlet. Moreover on PlayStation, the game has been ranked the #1 best release for Ubisoft on the entirety for PlayStation Network.

“Notably, it did so launching in March, when other series entries arrived during the more lucrative Thanksgiving season, and did not benefit from the pandemic boost enjoyed by Valhalla,” it says. In 2020, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla carried momentum in a crucial time where it even doubled what Assassin’s Creed Odyssey harnessed before it.
