While the films take ages to hit the silver screen many fans feel, it was not a long, long time ago that the games for Star Wars were announced. Already, Respawn Entertainment delivered its sequel Star Wars Jedi: Survivor offering a further story focusing on Cameron Monaghan’s Cal Cestis. But that is not the only property on the way from this Lucasfilm Games arrangement. In that, the Apex Legends team is also brewing together a new first-person shooter, RTS title, and another game for the Jedi series.
But what else is on the way? Lucasfilm Games just offered a development on its open-world RPG title with Massive Entertainment on Star Wars Outlaws which plans to ship next year. Additionally, Skydance’s Amy Hennig finally has a new project for her to helm after the fallout of Star Wars 1313. And Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic – Remake is in the pipeline too.
Even Detroit Become Human studio Quantic Dream is making its own title – Star Wars Eclipse. And according to Insider Gaming, whispers within the developer are aiming for the game to release sometime in 2026. Noted, the game was announced back in December 2021 at The Game Awards show then. The report does bring some answers to the much later release for the game.
In that, staffing has been a continuous struggle for the French game studio as ongoing claims of workplace harassment & crunch continues to linger around Quantic Dream. Star Wars Eclipse will be the first fully developed title from Quantic Dream since the involvement of NetEase Games – likely granting a multiplatform release for this new IP.
