After nearly a decade, the next entry from Rocksteady Studios is coming at the start of February. In a continuation of the Arkham universe, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League branches beyond Batman featuring a four-character cast of DC Comics’ rogue’s gallery. Amid concerns for this live-service approach for a premium release, the developer promises work is coming to improve the game upon release.
In one update, it was confirmed that Rocksteady Studios is to resolve the online requirement in the post-launch of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League. Additionally, there is more to come following this new release DC Studios confirms. As noted previously, James Gunn has creative control on all DC media moving forward including video games. In one statement, he reassures that the Arkham series will not cease following Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League.
In a new Suicide Squad Insider, Rocksteady Studios addresses the post-launch for Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League. In that, Elseworlds is introduced featuring the endless possibilities of Brainiac’s interventions on the villains from the complete DC universe. Including the first playable add-on character – The Joker.

Season 1 promises a slew of free content including: playable Joker, additional boss fights, Amusement Mile playable environment, ‘DC Villain-themed’ weapons, new Riddler content, new activities, and two content episodes featuring both Two-Face & Scarecrow. Looking ahead, it also points to three playable characters as well as three playable environments for Seasons 2-4.
