The Winter Express Returns To Apex Legends In The Upcoming ‘Wintertide’ Event

More than three years later and Respawn Entertainment’s Apex Legends is still going strong. Most noted is the game has grossed more than $2 billion since its abrupt release and continues to be one of Electronic Arts most successful live-service titles. As for the current state of the game, Season 15 – Eclipse introduces Legend Catalyst alongside a new map, ‘Broken Moon’.

As many can anticipate, new content is on the horizon for the battle royale with limited-time events. Previously, Gun Run was a featured game mode which came with the ‘Beast of Prey Collection Event’ earlier this fall. Additionally, another game mode, Shadow Royale, also was featured during the more recent ‘Fight or Fright Event’ last month.

In a new announcement on Wednesday, Respawn Entertainment reveals the new ‘Wintertide’ event with the Winter Express game mode making yet another comeback. The event is to start from December 6th to December 27th. You can watch the announcement trailer in the video below:

“Tis’ the season to bring back Winter Express! Our cherished limited-time mode is returning to bring good tidings and tense battles as 3 squads will fight to board and capture the Winter Express train as it races around World’s Edge,” the overview for the event reads. “Pay tribute to the deadliest winter legends and collect 24 themed limited-time cosmetics designed to instill fear in whoever your prey may be.”

Most exciting is the new Mythic Skin for Wraith ‘Apex Voidshifter’ is also being welcomed to the game. “Unlock all 24 limited-time items during this event and you’ll unlock Wraith’s new Prestige skin, the “Apex Voidshifter”. Prestige skins grow more elaborate with repeated use, so wear them often and show your stuff in the Games!”
