Although entries from Ubisoft from its prominent franchises like Assassin’s Creed and Just Dance release periodically, some of the new properties planned for its content pipeline is still waiting to release. For instance, Roller Champions is still awaiting its launch for this year as promised by Ubisoft to arrive sometime in early 2021.
The same story appears to be laid out for Riders Republic as well. Originally slated for the first half of 2021, Ubisoft Annecy unfortunately pushed the release. Now, the title is scheduled to release in at an undetermined time slated for late 2021. But, the story sure does not end there.
Probably the longest wait for a game is Skull & Bones. Since its announcement in 2017, Ubisoft Singapore has struggled to deliver the game. Previously, it was reported that the project would restructure its development to meet a fulfilled release sometime soon. But in the recent financial report from its publisher, Skull & Bones is now scheduled to release in 2022 or 2023 the latest.
The story does not end there for Skull & Bones in regards to the current state of development. In addition to the reworked playbook for the game, many internal Ubisoft teams joined the project. In that, Ubisoft Berlin, Ubisoft Chengdu, Ubisoft Kiev, Ubisoft Paris and Ubisoft Philippines are now involved in bringing the game to store shelves.
With the game now pushed to a later date, perhaps it will now be stamped with the recently introduced ‘Ubisoft Original’ stamp. The firm in a statement with Eurogamer mentioned that all unique properties from same-named studios will be branded with the new title moving forward. You can read the full report by heading here.
