While annual sports games continue to be a tradition carried out by games like Call of Duty in the current era of games, lets not forget that WWE happened to be one of the series that pioneered the tactic ahead of the current juggernaut. However, the series from 2K has been put on the backburner after poor reception of WWE 2K20 previously, the team announced at the time.
Even more, the response to the 2019 release also resulted with long-time developer Yuke’s departing from the series as well. In a decision made by 2K, the firm has assigned 2K NBA team Visual Concepts to work on the new release – skipping WWE 2K21. It was later learned that Yuke’s went on to develop a new game for All Elite Wrestling in a surprise reveal.
Earlier on at Wrestlemania 37, WWE 2K22 was teased with Rey Mysterio taking the spotlight. Now this week a full-length trailer sharing what to expect in the new release is out. You can watch the new trailer in the video below:

In terms of the tiered releases for WWE 2K22, there are four to choose from: Standard Edition ($59.99), Cross-Gen Bundle ($69.99), Digital Deluxe Edition ($99.99), and nWo 4-Life Edition ($119.99). Additionally players that pre-order will receive the Undertaker Immortal Pack which includes 3 variants of the titular Superstar.
