
The ongoing trend of legacy collection coming from Capcom continues onward eve into 2024. Just this past June, the Japanese publisher announced MARVEL vs. CAPCOM Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics bringing light to the list of titles associated with the IP. However, that is only one of the bevy of Capcom collections.
Previously, Capcom shipped both Capcom Arcade Stadium & Capcom Arcade 2nd Stadium both in 2021 and 2022 respectively. Additionally, the firm also rolled out Capcom Fighting Collection in 2022 as well. “When I look at the list of titles included in this collection, there’s two things that come to mind. Creative classics and competitive greatness. This collection nails both of these to perfection,” our review for the game expressed.
At the Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase on Tuesday, Capcom announced Capcom Fighting Collection 2 coming next year in 2025. You can watch the announcement trailer in the video below:
“Capcom is giving gamers the chance to relive another 8 classic fighting games from its vaults, including Capcom vs. SNK 2: Mark of the Millennium 2001, Power Stone, Power Stone 2, Plasma Sword: Nightmare of Bilstein and more! Featuring unique gameplay variety from classic toe-to-toe throwdowns to multiplayer brawlers in expansive environments,” the press release says.
As for supported platforms, all but Xbox is confirmed for Capcom Fighting Collection 2. According to one report, that is to blame for Microsoft removing support for Capcom’s in-house engine MT Framework. You can read the full report by heading here.
