Recently with those over at Behaviour Interactive have been introducing new additions to the game by featuring cult classic horror films as them. Previously with Nightmare On Elm Street and this time it is Saw.
The Saw Chapter will include a new map, new killer and survivor with their own set of perks. Gideon Meat Plant is a new map that brings fear and death to those who are trapped in it. With gloomy lit rooms and blood pooled corridors is a maze-like facility that will have those running from their predator into the same familiar areas.
The Pig
With a pig mask and hair falling out from behind it many seem to think it’s Amanda Young, especially as every quote for the perks are stated by her. The big can do ambush attacks on low health survivors and place bear traps on their heads. The trap is triggered once a generator is activated, but can be shut off once you find one of the saw puzzles through out the map. But be careful, if a survivor escapes the map the trap will go off. And she lacks a terror radius as she can crouch as well as run, so tread carefully.
- Hangman’s Trick – Keeps survivors from tampering with hooks and even notifies the killer when someone is trying to take them down.
- Surveillance – When a survivor interacts with a generator, the aura of their area will be revealed to the killer.
- Make Your Choice – When a survivor saves another from a hook 24 meters from the killer will trigger this perk and the survivor faces a skill set. If they fail it will damage the survivor.
David Tapp
A detective that doesn’t give in easily to Jigsaw and the Pig’s traps. To fight for justice once he was introduced into the gruesome world that he was put in.
- Tenacity – You are able to crawl faster as well as recover health at a faster rate when on your last breath.
- Detective’s Hunch – When completing a generator, auras of chests and totems will be revealed for 3 seconds. If you’re holding a map the indicators will be added to the map.
- Stake Out – When in the Killer’s radius and not being chased, you gain a Token up to maximum. It will make good skill checks into great skill checks.
Dead By Daylight’s Saw Chapter will be available on January 23, 2017 for Xbox and Playstation for $7.99 and on Steam for $6.99.
