While Doom Eternal towers over its 2016 predecessor when releasing last year, the game following the release of Xbox Series consoles and PlayStation 5 remained held back with no proper optimizations. But, Bethesda promised upgrades for the game alongside The Elder Scrolls Online. It was not until this past June that the enhancements finally arrived.

However, since the update, there happened to be several accounts on PlayStation 5 discovering that saved progress would not carry over for Doom Eternal. At the time, id Software was investigating the issue affecting users in Europe and Australia. Elsewhere, Doom Eternal made some waves when it was announced that Horde Mode is coming to the game. But, it is to replaced the previously promised ‘Invasion Mode’ planned.

In a new trailer uploaded on Thursday, Horde Mode is given a brief look with a new release for the game type coming next week on October 26. You can watch the trailer in the video below:

“Doom Eternal’s Update 6.66 is coming soon to a demon-infested dimension near you! Originally revealed during this year’s QuakeCon panel, this update promises to be one of the game’s biggest yet with an all-new Horde Mode, enhancements to Doom Eternal’s competitive 2v1 Battlemode and more,” Bethesda writes in the announcement for the mode.
