It was just last month that Epic Games announced a collaborative event with Respawn Entertainment regarding the then-upcoming Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. The announcement was a promotion for the highly-anticipated title which offered a specialized promotion: whoever purchased the game would be gifted with a Storm Trooper skin to show off whenever you join the game.

Now, it looks that this is not the last bit of Star Wars fun happening in the latest Chapter of Epic Games’ popular battle royale. It was announced this weekend that Fortnite will be hosting a exclusive screening of an unearthed segment of the upcoming film, The Rise of Skywalker.

“Drop in as director J.J. Abrams will reveal never-before-seen footage from Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker live at Risky Reels. Grab some popcorn and watch the exclusive scene in-game ahead of the movie’s release, only in Fortnite,” the blog post reads. Make sure if you plan to watch the showing, you arrive before it starts around 1:30 PM EST as suggested for players to enter. Assuming that following the commencement o the preview, players will be unable to enter past 2 PM.

Also teased following the initial announcement, Game Awards’ host Geoff Keighley disclosed that something related to the December movie will also be revealed during this Thursday’s awards ceremony as well later that day.

Interesting enough, this is now the second time Epic Games has hosted a live show of sorts on Fortnite as they have done previously with a concert featuring EDM producer Marshmello earlier this year. Except this time, the team will have Director J.J. Abrams proctoring the showing for the upcoming motion picture.

For your convenience, we coordinated viewing time zones for you which will start at: 11 AM PST/12 PM MST/2 PM EST.
