Come the new slew of console hardware, the churn for new releases is on a steady rise. However, some of the biggest releases of the last generation still remain prominent in this wait as backwards compatibility is centered on both Xbox & PlayStation now. For Ubisoft, the firm wasted no time to enhance the experience. We saw Rainbow Six Siege welcome 120hz at the start of this new era for the platforms.

Additionally, Assassin’s Creed took advantage of the opportunity. In that, Assassin’s Creed Odyssey shipped out a 60hz update which leveled out the game with next-gen expectations then. And not to mention Assassin’s Creed Origins this past spring which also shipped a similar update for the 2017 title as well at the time.

This month, Ubisoft reveals Ghost Recon Breakpoint is to follow in that path as the 2019 title shared its fate to welcome new versions for Xbox Series X & PlayStation 5. You can view the announcement in the tweet below:

Looking ahead for Ghost Recon, it is reported that Ubisoft Paris is working away at the next big release. But, the IP is breaking away a fairly new initiative already. In a report from Kotaku, although the team is busy conjuring the next installment, Ubisoft Quartz, a new foundation centered around NFTs, was scrapped which has Ghost Recon at the forefront.

In other recent Ubisoft news regarding the newest systems, the first ever concept art for Splinter Cell Remake was revealed. While limited in representation of how the game will play, the art style is certainly what fans hope the full game will offer. You can read the full report by heading here.
