Latest 60 FPS Update For Ubisoft Games Is Far Cry New Dawn, Available Now

The ample amount of support on the current-generation Xbox Series & PlayStation 5 systems from Ubisoft is unwarranted, but certainly welcomed. Although the firm is working towards new titles every year, the firm has continued to surprise many with its support for more on these systems. At time of launch for the systems then, over a handful of its titles were confirmed to face at least 60hz support moving forward.

However, the firm continued to offer this treatment to its other entries as well. Kicking off with Assassin’s Creed Origins, it later extend to Assassin’s Creed Odyssey & Assassin’s Creed Syndicate more recently. Not to mention the same update for Far Cry 5 as well back in 2023 also. And, it appears this is to continue even into 2025.

Recently, Ubisoft on X announced that 2019’s Far Cry New Dawn is the next to be added to the list for improve performance. “Post-apocalyptic Hope Country just got a whole lot smoother. Play Far Cry New Dawn at native 60 FPS NOW on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S! Time to take on the Highwaymen like never before!” the post reads.

At the time of release, Rectify Gaming scored the title a 7.5 out of 10. “Regardless of reusing the same map for a standalone title, Ubisoft Montreal still offers Far Cry: New Dawn plenty of diverse elements compared to its predecessor with a promising amount of fun in a short amount of time,” our review reads.

In good timing, this is a welcomed update as Far Cry New Dawn releases on Tuesday for Xbox Game Pass. The title is featured alongside other games like Sniper Elite: Resistance, Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward Vector, Tchia, Eternal Strands, and Orcs Must Die! Deathtrap.
