
As many can recall from the initial reveal of the Xbox Series X back in December 2019, the jokes swiftly piled on for the appearance of the next-generation console at the time. Namely, it was that the system takes a very close likeness to a refrigerator. And while the PlayStation 5 also received the same memage came its reveal, Microsoft took it literally with a full-size fridge around the release of the hardware last fall.
But moving forward, more fans went on to fantasize on a mini fridge that would truly encapture the essence of the new system. So much so that one user even went the lengths to make his own from scratch. It was until Xbox General Manager Aaron Greenberg promised production for the desire miniature appliance would be underway after a recent poll war on Twitter.
This past June, Microsoft went on to share that the mini fridge is set to arrive this fall. On Friday, the Xbox company reveals that pre-orders for the Xbox Series X appliance is to go live next week with a December release date aimed for the unit.

“The mini fridge, created in partnership with Ukonic!, gives “Xbox and Chill” a whole new meaning. With LEDs and surface-features made to resemble the Xbox Series X, your friends will be amazed while their thirst is quenched!,” Greenberg goes on to share about the new Xbox appliance.
“The sleek matte-black tower holds up to 12 cans of your favorite beverage and has two shelves in the door, so you’ll be sure to have your favorite snacks at the ready. The front of the mini fridge also includes a USB port to charge devices and comes with a DC power adapter to enable the mini fridge to work on the go.”
Microsoft goes on to disclose that the unit will be available exclusively through Target in the United States as Canada residents can order the system directly through the Xbox Gear Store online. As for other regions, GAME will be for U.K. citizens while Game Stop EU/ Micromania/ Toynk will be there for shoppers in France, Germany, Italy, Ireland, Spain, Netherlands, and Poland.
