Yes, it’s that time of the year. Annual showcases are imminent with firms like Microsoft preparing to take the spotlight this weekend. In April, the Xbox company revealed it will be hosting its own independent presentation on June 12th – Xbox + Bethesda Showcase. This is nothing out of the ordinary as Microsoft held a similar showcase in 2021 as well the year before.
Noted, there was more that came from last year’s show however. In that, the video game division held a separate Xbox Games Showcase Extended event which featured in-depth gameplay and interviews with teams on projects that were showcased in the presentation. As for this year’s show, Microsoft has yet to make that announcement for a second presentation.
And emphasis on “yet” as the firm on Monday shared it will be hosting the second annual ‘Showcase Extended’ event on June 14th two days following the Xbox + Bethesda Showcase this Sunday.

Entertaining what will be present at the show, Obsidian Entertainment is surely not hiding its presence at the upcoming event. While the contents of this weekend’s presentation is left unknown, Design Director Josh Sawyer hinted at the Xbox Game Studios developer to be attending the showcase with some form of reveal. Perhaps an in-depth preview for Avowed?
As for other hopes to be at this Sunday’s livestream show, Redfall & Starfield are certainly on many fan’s expectations. The two games were originally slated to release this year, however, were pushed to ‘early 2023’ release dates as of a recent statement from Bethesda. You can read the full report by heading here.
