So far, the Xbox Series X|S has contended in being the best-selling console for Microsoft yet. And while fans are contempt with the power of the current hardware, there is hope for a new system to come during the half-way point for the Xbox Series lifecycle. Like the Xbox 360 Elite & Xbox One X before it, there is a pattern that the industry anticipates Microsoft to follow.

Previously, Phil Spencer in an interview with Kotaku ahead of launch for Xbox Series X|S shared plans for Microsoft to iterate on the latest console in future calendars. Additionally, it appears Sony Interactive Entertainment is doing something like that already. However, for Xbox, that is not the case. In a following interview after Sunday’s Xbox Game Showcase presentation, Phil Spencer told Bloomberg that there is no mid-generation console on the horizon. Spencer explains “that’s not the feedback we’re getting right now.” He further stated that the company is “pretty set on the hardware we have.”
