The Super Monkey Ball series continues to breathe new life for the IP in recent years. Following the return for the series with Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz HD, this trend continued with new original releases to follow. This came in the form of Super Monkey Ball: Banana Mania that arrived with new content as well as even more crossovers as well.

In total, over a handful of add-ons were shipped for Super Monkey Ball: Banana Mania offering a fun roster for players and Sega fans especially. These DLC characters included Sonic, Tails, Beat, Kiryu, and Morgana. Additionally, the launch revealed two more character with both Hello Kitty & Suezo added to the game as well.

This month, Sega is to release the next game for the series, Super Monkey Ball: Banana Rumble. And part of that includes a batch of new DLC for the game. Both characters as well as costumes are promised in the all-new ‘Sega Pass’. You can watch the trailer in the video below:

“Six iconic characters enter the rumble as part of the SEGA PASS! Join Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Amy, Axel and Beat all with their own unique stats and fully playable in all game modes! Five costumes consisting of 15 individual customization items are also included for you to deck your monkey out in costumes such as Shadow, NiGHTS, Gilius, Majima and Akira!”

On the topic of RGG Studio games, the Japanese developer did press on its plans for Like a Dragon moving forward. While casting for the next game is underway, it did press that plans to roll out a Yakuza Kiwami 3 is in the books for certain; “sooner or later,” director Masayoshi Yokoyama said.
