The Razer Edge 5G Pre-Orders Goes Live With Xbox Cloud Gaming At The Forefront For The Upcoming Device

For the continued support for Xbox Cloud Gaming, it is no question that Microsoft plans to continue supporting the service entering into 2023. From 2022 alone, we witnessed Samsung displays welcome native apps for the service. Atop of that, Kojima Productions also announced its own collaborative project being developed exclusively for Xbox Cloud Gaming also.

What stood out at the time too was the Logitech G Cloud. A gaming mobile device centered on bringing your favorite games with you without watering down the experience. More specifically, the new handheld posed as the ultimate Xbox Cloud Gaming peripheral as you can load up Xbox Game Pass Ultimate on it an play anything from the extensive library.

Now, a similar song is being sung from Razer with its own Razer Edge 5G on the horizon for release. In a new Xbox Wire post, Microsoft elaborates on how this new device brings gaming to a new level as it is the first dedicated gaming handheld built around the 5G infrastructure. “As the first dedicated 5G handheld console, the Razer Edge lets you access Xbox on the go more seamlessly than ever,” writes Joe Skrebels.

“Whether you’re away from your console and want to keep your Grounded campaign going, or are diving into High on Life for the first time while at a coffee shop, the Razer Edge makes it possible to play what you want, when you want. With an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate membership, you can play hundreds of games on a range of devices through Xbox Cloud Gaming, including titles from Xbox Game Studios and Bethesda the day they launch, as well as big hits and indie favorites from our partners.”

This is not the first instance of Microsoft teaming up with Razer for new gaming hardware for its platform. In the past, Razer was the first company to pioneer dedicated gaming keyboards for Xbox way back in 2018. You can read the full report by heading here.
