While the ongoing gag aimed at Valve is that the game studio “can’t count to 3” with franchises like Portal, Half-Life, and even Team Fortress are left dormant after the second main installment, the developer is adamant to deliver more games in the coming future. Previously, founder Gabe Newell explained his ambition to welcome more games to console later on.

So far, we witnessed two new games from the firm over the past month be announced: the first is unique to Nintendo Switch so far, In that, Portal: Companion Collection bundles the first two Portal games in one package with a targeted release for later this year. Additionally, Valve also released Aperture Desk Job for PC & Steam Deck which revisits the Portal universe in a new, short experience.

But, there is still more that has yet to be revealed. In an interview with Axios Gaming, designer Greg Coomer explained that there are more games in the pipeline which have yet to be revealed. “There are multiple games in development right now at Valve, and I think they’re pretty exciting ones.” It is uncertain if these titles will be returning IPs or new experiences altogether as of writing.

However, Valve in the past has pressed on its plans moving forward before. Speaking to Game Informer, developer Robin Walker shared that the team is looking to once again return to Half-Life beyond Half-Life: Alyx. “We absolutely see Half-Life: Alyx as our return to this world, not the end of it,” he told then.

Elsewhere on the matters on Half-Life: Alyx, Coomer did press on the game being added to other platforms. But, it was unfortunate news for PlayStation VR owners when revealing that there was no roadmap for the game coming to the PlayStation peripheral following the game’s release.
