2K Games Is Set To Reveal A New Game For Its “Biggest And Most Beloved Franchises” In June

At Take-Two Interactive, it remains a gold mine of IPs at the firm spanning across multiple developers. The most evident is Rockstar Games with its next entry for Grand Theft Auto. The list continues to grow with the recent addition of Gearbox Entertainment earlier this year. And looking to 2025, that is to only increase. One statement acknowledges a big year of releases for the firm later on.

Already, it is understood that the next Rockstar Games title – Grand Theft Auto VI – is set to release that year. In a new development this week, it is revealed fall 2025 is the targeted launch window for the game. Additionally, Ghost Ship Games’ Judas is also on the radar for a release in 2025 also. Now, it is revealed that 2K Games is adding to the list as well.

From Summer Games Fest on X, it is announced that 2K will be announcing “the next iteration in one of 2K’s biggest and most beloved franchises” at the coming showcase in June.

So, what could this unannounced game be? Well, there is two possibilities it appears. The first comes from dedicated studios Cloud Chamber. The firm formed in 2019 to work on the next flagship entry for Bioshock. Last details on the game came from job postings for the project. One mentioned the game exploring outside of both Rapture & Columbia. Another also noted the new title to be an open-world experience.

Additionally, Hanger 13 is working on a new Mafia game. One report pointed to the game being another entry set even earlier in the series.
