Nintendo just finished up its Pre E3 Nintendo Direct and provided us a host of new and confirmed information. We’ll iron it all out for you below with some handy little bullet points. Right off the bat Ryu is confirmed for Super Smash Bros and is available today at 1pm Eastern time via the E shop.
New Characters:
Roy is confirmed and will be available today at 1pm eastern time via the Eshop with Ryu. Roy will cost $3.99 each for Wii U and 3DS or $4.99 combo purchase.
New Costumes:
Megaman exe gunner costume, Megaman zero swordfighter costume, Isabelle gunner costume from Animal Crossing, Jacky and Akira Yuki from Virtua Fighter as well as Inkling boy and girl from Splatoon. Each costume will cost $.75 or $1.15 for combo purchase. Heihachi from Tekken will be a Mii Fighter costume as well
Amiibo:
Duck Hunt, Rob robot, Mr. Game and Watch, Mii Fighters as well as Falco will release in September. Mr Game & Watch will come with interchangeable pieces and all will be included with the amiibo.
Stages:
Dream Land from the original Smash Bros is back for $1.99 or $2.99 combo purchase. The Miiverse stage is coming to Wii U only for free. Suzaku Castle, Ryu’s original stage will be included for $5.99 or $6.99 combo purchase. Ken’s theme from Street Fighter as well as Ryu’s theme will be available on the game with a Ken and Ryu trophy as well
Tournaments:
There will be two types of tournaments. Single elimination and highest points in a given time period. These will be released in August after final testing.
Youtube:
You will now be able to post Youtube videos of your replays to your Youtube account as long as you have a Google account which is a given.
The Nintendo World Championships are back this afternoon at E3 in Los Angeles and more will be revealed at Nintendo’s press conference on Tuesday morning at 9 AM Pacific. We’ll have it all for you here so be sure to tune it.
