In the Halloween season of 2022, Konami held its first Silent Hill Transmission. After radio silence for years, it opened up to five projects so far for the franchise: Silent Hill 2, Silent Hill Townfall, Return to Silent Hill, Silent Hill Ascension, and Silent Hill f. Additionally, Silent Hill: The Short Message also released as well since that initial showcase.
And while Konami & Bloober Team released Silent Hill 2 this past fall, there is more on the way from both teams. In a recent press release, a new partnership is forming on a Konami IP once more. “The trust built upon the success of SILENT HILL 2 laid the foundation for signing another agreement for a new project. The deal aligns with Bloober Team’s strategic plan to expand its internal development division within a first-party framework,” the press release reads.
This week, Konami is to feature Silent Hill f in a newly scheduled Silent Hill Transmision livestream on March 13th. Since the initial announcement, there has been little information that added to the original teaser. What is already understood on the new title is it follows a story in 1960s Japan in an isolated town.
Similar to the previous Silent Hill Transmission that was held in May 2024, Konami will likely showcase gameplay for Silent Hill f and an in-depth dissection of the development and the talent behind the studio. Of course, it is also likely that a release date for Silent Hill f will also be provided as well from Konami in the showcase.
In 2025, Konami is already preparing to release another AAA title with Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater later this August. You can read the full report by heading here.
