New PlayStation 5 Launch Trailer Shares Horizon: Forbidden West To Arrive In “Second Half 2021”

As many can probably gather, PlayStation 5 is just a few days away. And there’s no better way to fuel our excitement for the next-generation than with a new launch trailer. And while we already know what is to release for the console, Sony Interactive Entertainment gives fans some hindsight on when other properties are to release for the system.

In that, the firm spared not just one, but three games coming within the first half of 2021: Gran Turismo 7, Returnal, and Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart. When watching the new trailer, a paragraph of subtext arranged appears which reads that the three games are “anticipated first half 2021”.

The new trailer also presses on Guerrilla Games’ Horizon: Forbidden West. The firm has previously mentioned that the game will be aimed for a 2021 release, but the new footage shares the game is planned to arrive in the latter half of next year. Again, upon reading the subtext in the video, we learn that the game is arriving next year. But unlike the other games mentioned, Horizon: Forbidden West is “anticipated second half 2021”, the stanza shares. However, Horizon: Forbidden West will not be unique to PlayStation 5 alike the others referenced in the subtext.

In September, Sony Interactive Entertainment when pressing on the finer details for PlayStation 5 revealed new details for Guerrilla Games’ upcoming project. That alongside Sackboy A Big Adventure shared that the two will release on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 as a cross-generation title – alike Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales.
