Although the initial announcement for Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake felt longer than it really was, that original timeframe only stretches back to this past September – less than a year ago. But, announcements that followed the game do appear to extend that understanding when grasping further context. In that, the game was shoved to a later launch from January 2021 to March a few more months ahead.
Prior to that, Ubisoft Pune & Ubisoft Mumbai went on to elaborate the creative decision for the game’s appearance despite ‘Remake’ being part of the title for the revitalized release. But, the story does not truly end there, of course. In that, the firms later went on to push the game to an undetermined release beyond the later promised March 2021 launch.
But according to Ubisoft in a new statement on Twitter, the game will not be present during Saturday’s Ubisoft Forward. Even more is that the new release window is slated for 2022. You can view the letterhead below:

“Ubisoft Forward is around the corner and we wanted to use this time to thank you for the amount of support you have shown us in the past year. As you might have already read, Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake will not be in Ubisoft Forward. We are making great progress for our game to release next year, but we are not ready to share any additional information just yet. We will share an update as soon as we are ready.”
In regards to what will be present at Ubisoft Forward this weekend, the publisher went on to reaffirm Rainbow Six Quarantine’s attendance. However, that is not the name for the new release. Instead players will find a new title for the game, Rainbow Six Extraction the firm revealed on Monday.
Additionally, there is a leak with signs of authenticity which indicates that a first-person shooter splitting the DNA of The Division, Ghost Recon, and Splinter Cell. The game is dubbed ‘Battlecat’ and is anticipated to be revealed at Ubisoft Forward thanks to the abrupt timing of the report. You can read the full piece by heading here.
