When understanding that Starfield – the next major release from Bethesda in two decades would be exclusive to Xbox – it was instantly granted that sales for the game would trump any other major titles that month. Ahead of release, the Premium Edition topped sales charts on the Xbox Store in multiple regions. Not to mention it going on to outperform both EA FC 24 & Mortal Kombat 1 for the month of September this fall.
Looking at other metrics accounted for regarding Starfield, it was revealed that the game already faced more than 12 million players since its release back in September less than half a year ago. Additionally, Starfield also broke a new record for Xbox Game Pass measuring the highest number of new subscriptions for the service ever during its release then.
Now from this year’s ‘Best of Steam – 2023’ Starfield also proves to be successful on Steam – outside the jurisdiction of Xbox Game Pass.
