While it might not be recommended to go against the limited warranty for the unit, it is cool nonetheless to discover what Microsoft has hidden within the framework of their Xbox consoles.

With the release of the Xbox Series X slated for this holiday season, it would be imminent for someone to unearth what this console will have hiding under its shell. Luckily for us, tech guru Austin Evans managed to get an early hands-on with the new console and already began disassembling the console.

In the midst of taking apart the Xbox Series X unit, he discovered on the fan to be an engraving of Master Chief’s helmet on the side of the component. You can see the image of the easter egg in the tweet Evans posted below:

Things like specifications and size also were put into more detail on the matter. Evans elsewhere on Twitter shared a size comparison of the new console by placing a banana on the hardware to illustrate the scale of the unit itself. Previously, IGN made a mock up of the console and it looks to hold a similarity to what Evans shared.

Other information that was shared by Microsoft warranted to the Xbox Series X today also includes the finer details of the new controller that will ship with the console: elements such as USB-C charging port, matte-finish appendages, and the newly-added share button. Microsoft also announced that titles emulated through backwards compatibility will be converted to Xbox Series X with HDR support, even if the game did not initially have the feature implemented.

In the latter of details for the new Xbox, Microsoft also reaffirmed the release date for the console.
